Nokia Sensor

This is a app made by Nokia specially for Series 60 devices that works throughout Bluetooth.
With Nokia Sensor you can:
  • Spontaneous social circles
  • Your portable personality
  • Instant communities and networks
  • Free to download, free to use
  • Free file sharing
"Nokia Sensor is a spontaneous, sociable application for spontaneous, sociable people. With Nokia Sensor you can create your own personal pages - called a folio - on your phone. Then you can check out the folios of other Sensor users nearby, exchange messages, and share files."

The only thing I don't exactly know is how you can find in 10 meters around you a person with a Series60 phone and this app installed that doesn't have anything else to do than seek people that matches this extremely rare case. But I think that Nokia knows better than me the utility of such a thing. With Wi-Fi it would be very nice ( 450 meters around, not just 10 ) but with Bluetooth I'm a bit circumspect of the utility of this thing.
You can view a nice flash presentation, read more and download the app at Nokia

I have tried both, they are good. I have a problem letting people send me stuff over Bluetooth so I suppose others would have the same fears. After all this is the main way viruses do spread.

These applications should work on making these bluetooth contacts safe.

For those who wants to stay connected after meeting through Mobiluck or Sensor there is MobyMSN. This app lets you stay connected over GPRS (long distance). It uses them embedded client of the S60 platform and optimizes communications and user experience. The app is designed to connect to MSN and has a one day trial. If you do not have an msn account it will still let you connect to IM but then you will have to make your own community.

    Good luck
